Design School | Lane & Mo’s Design Board

January weddings are always so exciting, aren’t they? Not only are they a new chapter for the couple, but a wonderful way to start a new year!

In just under a month, we will be celebrating Lane and Mo’s marriage day at La Cima Club in Irving, Texas. It has been my honor to help them bring their ideas and dreams into focus these past few months. Their relationship is one founded in the simple things in life, and that is exactly how their wedding will be - simple and elegant.

Being a winter wedding, often we think it needs to be full of glitz or icy tones to be ‘in season’. I am so excited that Lane has chosen a palette that is warm and inviting. The textures we have selected will welcome guests and make everything feel cozy and intimate. Since the weather in January will be crisp, even in Texas, we will be working with Lauren, from The Backyard Bouquet, to bring the outdoors in.

We have a stellar group of vendors to make Lane and Mo’s day not only beautiful, but meaningful. Lane is also a beautiful singer and the couple have a love of music, so we will have all live music, in addition to simple and elegant decor and romantic details. I cannot wait to share more of them with you in the coming months.

Don’t forget, no matter how simple your design may be to share your love, always infuse your personalities and story into them. The most timeless events are often the simplest.
